Just curious what people’s thoughts are. Have the right to be for wise reasons (racial skills synergising through profession) or straightforward thematic appropriateness (Charr engi, the initial flavour!)

Norn guardian and hunterAsura elementalistCharr warriors and also engineers. Human…anything really.

You are watching: Guild wars 2 races and classes combinations

In fairness, ns think any type of race and profession combo is good.

I additionally like to bending the norm and pick combinations that aren’t all also common. It’s nice emotion a little much more individual and also it method that the profession-based battle-cries feeling a little bit fresher.

One of mine favourite combos despite is asura guardian, simply due to the fact that of your “pole-dance” animation when utilizing staff ability 4.

Sylvari – ideal class for them, ns think is Mesmer. That goes v Mordremoth being the dragon the plants and mind, i think. Worst course for them, ns think would certainly be elementalist. Cuz fire.

Norn – Hunter, Warrior, Guardian are best, i think. Hefty armor is great for them. And also Ranger due to the fact that of the pets. I couldn’t really watch a Norn Mesmer. Anything else, I could see it.

Charr – Engineer, definitely. Probably, necromancer would certainly be a stretch.

Asura – Hmm. Necromancer I could see. And elementalist. Thief, too, because they’re small.

Human – i guess anything. Castle don’t really seem to have a “personality” to me.

Flavor-wise, in my opinion:

Charr: technician (Warrior together secondary)Sylvari: Ranger (Guardian as secondary)Human: Mesmer (Necromancer as secondary)Asura: Elementalist (Engineer together secondary)Norn: Warrior (Guardian as secondary… or perhaps Ranger, they perform love your hunts)

Thief and Revenant space for anyone equally.

Charr: Engineer,Warrior – rudely weapons and brutal fighting are just so ingrained into their culture.Norn: Ranger, Guardian, Revenant -Due to their closeness to nature and also spirits, i think something concerning animals or anything spiritual fits castle nicely.Sylvari: Necromancer, Ranger – Ranger’s obvious, yet I think necro fits too – offered that sylvari room born as adults and totally naive around the world, ns think it provides sense the at least a couple of of lock would develop a fascination through the ide of death.Human: Mesmer, theif – humans lend themselves to a lot of things, however I choose to think of them as a middle-of-the-road gyeongju in terms of skills (Pretty agile, nice smart, quite strong). Also, humans are renowned for deception and backstabbing, therefore manipulative class make feeling to me ^^Asura: Elementalist,Engineer, Mesmer – Just as result of their intelligence and also focus top top learning, more scholar based class seem to fit them well.

charr – warriorsylvarie – rangernorn – warrior, ranger, Guardianhuman – mesmer, necro, ingi, ele, thiefasura – probably ele or a small bit thief. In reality I think no profession really fits this annoying tiny rat feather asura race.

Btw. Ns think revenant can fit human and secondly norn/char best.

Human: any profession, all have good lore basis for the human race.

Norn: Elementalist, Mesmer, Thief, Ranger, Warrior and also Guardian. Mayyybe Necro for a dark cult, but generally the would more than likely be seen as avoiding opponents/minions indigenous claiming your legends. Engineers would be few and far in between imo.

Charr: Necro (perhaps), Thief, Ranger (with restrictions), Engineer, Warrior and also Guardian. Sorry but theres no method that body form is illustration a bow properly plus there are horns to think about for males in ~ least. No Mesmers as Charr have tendency to mistrust trickery, a Charr elementalist that attuned to fire would be strung up on the town hall Hill and whipped to death.

Sylvari: Mesmer, Thief, Ranger, engineer (with restrictions), Warrior and Guardian. No Elementalist because plants are an extremely vulnerable come environment/climate. Fire attunement would destroy them, together would any ice Water effects. No Necro since they room plant based, what would offer them power over meat-animals? Engineer limited because when they would not normally have design in your culture, Sylvari organic curiosity may drive individuals to learn.

Asura: Shouldn’t be any kind of of the 8 professions at all. Asura have actually a really distinct and individual scientific society that doesn’t really match up with any kind of of the main professions. Their alchemagic would superscede every the light class roles, Ranger and also Engineer, and also their wars would be fought by GOLEMs. Possibly at a push, Warrior because that the Peacekeepers and also Thief for your spies. Various other than that, most Asura would certainly see regular professions together mere hobbies, no professions.
